Andrea  Giasson Buckley

Andrea (Ballet and Pointe) Is a graduate form the University of Oklahoma with her BFA in Dance Pedagogy. Andrea started dancing when she was six in her home town studio where she first learned her love of dancing. She continued her dance career first a Ballet Oklahoma and then at Range of Motion under the direction of CeCe Farha. She was a mamber of the Oklahoma Festival Ballet Company at OU and has performed in Copellia, Summer Wind, Carmen, Fandangoa, is a former member of Dance Visions at Bishop McGuinness High School and was selected by the Oklahoma Summer Arts Institute at Quartz Mountain for their dance program. In 1996, Andrea received the Oklahoma State Superintendent Award for Arts Excellence in the area of dance. She is well known for her lead in Range of Motion’s original production of Balderdash as Velvet Rose. As well as performing, Andrea has found that teaching is equally as challenging and extremely rewarding.

Andrea is taking a leave of absence the first semester of the 2010-2011 to have her second baby.  We will miss her while she is away and wish great things for her and her growing family!
