Emily Lower holds a BFA in Modern Dance Performance from the University of Oklahoma, where she performed with the Contemporary Dance Oklahoma dance company for 4 years. She grew up in Tulsa, OK where she fell in love with dance at a very young age. She has training and performance experience in various classical dance styles including ballet, jazz, character, and modern. Emily spent a year in Washington DC working as an intern and dance teacher for Dance Place, a non-profit dance and community outreach organization. She assisted in a variety of dance classes, led creative movement classes, and assisted in administrative work that brings dance classes into DC public schools. Emily met and connected with CeCe after making the decision to move closer to home and accepted her first studio teaching position at ROM. Since then, she has also taken on the role of dance instructor at Western Heights Middle and High School, joined the Oklahoma State Department of Education Fine Arts Advisory Committee, performed in Oklahoma Contemporary Dance Festival, and for worked as a dance liaison for The Oklahoma Summer Arts Institute. Miss Emily is so excited to welcome new and returning students as she begins her fifth season with Range of Motion!
