Ashlyn Adams

 

Ashlyn Adams is an award winning choreographer, performer, and dance teacher who specializes in jazz, tap, and musical theater dance. She began teaching and choreographing in 2007 and joined the teaching faculty at ROM in 2014. Ashlyn holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Performance from Oklahoma City University’s Ann Lacy School of American Dance and Entertainment. Originally from the Seattle, Washington area, Ashlyn began her training at the Washington Academy of Performing Arts Conservatory. She was a founding member and spent several years performing with New Vision Dance Company and performed in regional Musical Theater productions throughout the Pacific Northwest. Some of Ashlyn’s favorite roles from the past include Robin Gibson in Smile!, The Leading Player in Pippin, and Little Sally in Urinetown: The Musical for which she was nominated for the Irene Ryan Award at the Kennedy Center American Theatre Festival. Currently at Range of Motion, Ashlyn serves as Assistant Director of the Professional Focus Training Program alongside Director CeCe Farha, as well as teaches the upper levels of jazz and tap. In addition to ROM, Ashlyn choreographs around the OKC metro and is a regular choreographer for Lyric Theatre of Oklahoma’s Thelma Gaylord Academy.
