Ashlyn Adams joined the our Staff in 2015 and is excited to begin another year teaching at Range of Motion Dance Studio! Ashlyn began her dance training in Seattle, Washington at the Washington Academy of Performing Arts Conservatory focusing in dance and musical theater under the direction of Dannul and Tinka Dailey, Karyn Bracilano, and Tammi Doyle. Ashlyn spent several years performing with Melissa Gould’s New Vision Dance Company and in regional Musical Theater productions. Some of her favorite roles include Robin Gibson in Smile!, The Leading Player in Pippin, and Little Sally in Urinetown: The Musical for which she was nominated for the Irene Ryan Award at the Kennedy Center American Theatre Festival. In 2010, Ashlyn came to Oklahoma to achieve her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Performance from Oklahoma City University. While at OCU, Ashlyn was a member of Jo Rowan’s American Spirit Dance Company and was a featured dancer and vocalist. While she isn’t teaching, Ashlyn can be found recording voice over work for local tv and radio, judging a dance competition or pageant, spoofing current pop songs with her husband, teasing her kids, or trying to keep herself from constantly making Chocolate Chip Cookies.
