PROFO at ROM

The PROFO Training Program is designed to give the necessary training to students wishing to pursue a professional dance career or acceptance into a college program.

The program offers gifted students who wish to take their dance training to the highest level or hope to pursue a career in dance the opportunity to study at a professionally focused level.  PROFO is available to our upper level dancers ages 13 and up and/or in their second year of Level 5 Ballet or higher.  In addition to their regular technique classes which meet two to four days a week, students receive an additional two-hour ballet technique class followed by various specialty classes such as Ballet Variation, Pas de Deux, Character, Flamenco, Modern, Jazz, Women’s Variations and Men’s Variations.  Faculty and Guest Artists will offer expertise in each discipline.  The esteemed faculty is under direction of CeCe Farha.  PROFO assists students with career planning by offering workshops and resources on resume writing and the audition/job search process, providing contacts for audition photos, and through individual counseling/conferences.

PROFO students will often have opportunities to perform but this is a training program, not a performance group nor competition class.

Acceptance into the PROFO Training Program is by audition only.
